ICCBC presentation: Traditional Icelandic Singing

ICCBC presents:  a workshop /presentation on traditional forms of Icelandic singing, rímur and tvísögur

Date: Tuesday, October 21, 2014
Time: 7 pm
Rímur are sung by one person with repetitive sounds, emphasizing syllable and are rhyming. These are epic ballads and there can be hundreds of verses. The tvísöngur is sung by two voices in parallel perfect fifths.
