Thank you to all the vol­un­teers who came to our clean up par­ty! We got so many things done and every­one had a great time. A very spe­cial thank you to the Finnish War Vet­er­ans who made break­fast, and the Swe­den House Soci­ety for spon­sor­ing and prepar­ing lunch.

ScanSports presents: Curling!

Sun­day Octo­ber 30th, 12.30pm-2.30pm at the Roy­al Curling Club, New West­min­ster

$10 per per­son (includes instruc­tion and equip­ment rentals)



Games will be played in teams of 4 (reg­is­ter as a team or indi­vid­u­als). Bring a pair of clean soled run­ning shoes and warm socks. Wear lay­ers of warm, com­fort­able, cloth­ing. Arrive 30 min­utes before the game time to prep. Prizes will be award­ed!

Spaces are lim­it­ed – reg­is­tra­tion is first come, first served.

An audi­ence to cheer on the teams is always wel­come — the lounge is warm and friend­ly.

Set up or enhance your club’s social media pres­ence! The evening will include a presentation/overview of what can be achieved through social media and how to get start­ed or ampli­fy the chan­nels you already have setup. There will be time to ask ques­tions, min­gle, and share infor­ma­tion. This will be a great oppor­tu­ni­ty to cross-ref­er­ence and co-ordi­nate with oth­er clubs at the Scan­di­na­vian Cen­tre!

Bring your lap­top, tablet and/or smart phone so you can get set up right away or get help with some­thing speci­fic. Focus on Face­book, Twit­ter & Insta­gram, but oth­er plat­forms are pos­si­ble too.
