Join us in wel­com­ing Mar­grét Hall­gríms­dót­tir, Head of the Nation­al of Muse­um of Ice­land and the Cul­ture House to the Scan­di­na­vian Com­mu­ni­ty Cen­tre. Mar­garet will give a pre­sen­ta­tion on the muse­um and intro­duce her new book on Ice­landic arti­facts. The pre­sen­ta­tion will be in the library with refresh­ments served in the Ice­land Room after the talk. Please join us for what will be a very inter­est­ing talk.

Cost: The cost will be $20 which sim­ply cov­ers the cost of the ingre­di­ents.
Plan: a one-day class to teach you how to make com­plete vinarter­ta: the prune fill­ing, the ‘cook­ie’ rounds and how to bake them, put it all togeth­er, and you will take the vinarter­ta home.

Plan: bak­ing the ‘cook­ie’ part one night and begin­ning the fill­ing, and, con­tin­u­ing the process to com­ple­tion the next evening,  and to have one instruc­tor to two stu­dents (no promis­es).
