Join us for this opportunity to hear Victor’s story and meet this figure skating legend. </p>

<h4>About Victor Kraatz</h4>
<p>Victor Kraatz is a Canadian figure skater who, together with his partner Shae-Lynn Bourne, became the first North American team to win a World Championship in Ice Dancing. He has also won numerous Canadian championships in his career as well as many other notable competions and now spends his time as a competitive ice dance figure skating coach together with his Finnish wife Maikki Uotila-Kraatz (Finnish figure skater and Vancouver 2010 Olympic athlete Laura Lepisto trained with Victor this summer) and is the ice dance commentator for CTV for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. </p>

<p>Sweden House Society is honoured to announce that as part of their royal visit to Vancouver during the 2010 Winter Games, the King and Queen of Sweden — Carl XVI Gustaf and Silvia Bernadotte — will be coming for a visit to the Scandinavian Community Centre!</p>
<p>On Thursday February 25th, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Silvia will be attending a special Cocktail Reception held in their honour. As part of their visit to the Centre, the Swedish School children will perform and the royal couple will be given a grand tour of the Centre facilities. We are so proud of how we keep the Swedish culture and traditions alive in Vancouver, we hope they will be as well!</p>
