Runeberg’s birthday

Cana­dian Friends of Fin­land will cel­e­brate Runeberg’s birth­day with a pro­gram of his poetry, music, excerpts from his writ­ing and high­lights from his life. The Runeberg Cho­rus and Sons of Nor­way will per­form. Refresh­ments will be served includ­ing the famous Runeber­gin Torttu. It should be a fun afternoon!

Do you come and enjoy our fab­u­lous Mid­sum­mer fes­ti­val every year? Maybe this is the year you should help with the behind-the-scenes plan­ning that makes it such a suc­cess­ful fam­ily event!

There are many dif­fer­ent areas where you can make use of your tal­ents and inter­ests. If you have ques­tions, call Tina (604) 520‑7078 or talk to a com­mit­tee mem­ber from your soci­ety. Many hands and brains needed!

Scandinavian Dancers Beginners Class Starts!

Wednes­day Jan­u­ary 20th is the first night for the begin­ners class. Come learn the basics — waltz, polka, schot­tis, hambo, pol­ska and others!

Reg­is­tra­tion required (see con­tact info below) — Cou­ples and sin­gles are welcome.
