DHS Scholarship Funds

ATTENTION STUDENTS AND SCHOLARS

To qual­ify for any one of up to ten $1,000 Schol­ar­ships offered by the Dan­ish House Soci­ety for 2012 you must meet the fol­low­ing criteria:

a) Be of Dan­ish descent and/or a fam­ily mem­ber of past or present mem­bers of the Dan­ish House Soci­ety or the Dan­ish Cana­dian Com­mu­nity Centre.

b) Be a res­i­dent of British Colum­bia work­ing towards a degree or diploma in an accred­ited post-secondary insti­tu­tion. Proof of reg­is­tra­tion in such insti­tu­tion is required along with a tran­script of lat­est marks and studies.

c) Be of good char­ac­ter and pro­vide writ­ten ref­er­ences from a high School admin­is­tra­tor and at least two oth­ers includ­ing an employer, if applicable.

Appli­ca­tion should be made by a hand-written let­ter giv­ing your rea­sons for request­ing the schol­ar­ship and describ­ing your per­sonal inter­ests, hob­bies, goals and dreams. Par­tic­i­pa­tion as a vol­un­teer in Dan­ish House
Soci­ety activ­i­ties should be noted. The schol­ar­ships will be awarded in June 2012.

To be con­sid­ered for the 2012 Dan­ish House Schol­ar­ships, your appli­ca­tion and rel­e­vant infor­ma­tion (includ­ing email address) must be sub­mit­ted by March 31, 2012 to:
