Summer/Fall 2008 Events

A Handicap Door has been installed at our main entrance. Funded by a Grant from the Provincial government, this will make our Centre more accessible for those with walkers, wheelchairs or arthritic hands as it will open at the push of a button.

Be kind to the environment: we ask that our member clubs try NOT to use Styrofoam cups or plates as they never dissolve & fill up our garbage dumps. Use the china cups here for your free use … just wash & put away. Or purchase paper/cardboard plates & cups if you must have disposables.

Also, remember to rinse out & recycle any glass jars, cans, plastic bottles … we have re-cycle bins here for them or you can take them home to put into your own re-cycling bins for pick-up. DO NOT put them in the garbage here or in our dumpsters. THANK-YOU!!

The Viking Ship “Munin” is docked at the Vancouver Maritime Museum’s Heritage Harbour. Like all wooden ships, she is happiest in the water.

For info on helping to crew or to book a sailing for family, friends or employees or to make a donation.

Check out our website www.munin.ca  Sails most weekends but MUST BOOK AHEAD. The Captain and Crew are volunteers so sailings depend on the volunteers’ availability and the weather. You can also see the ship on display at the Wooden Boat Show Festival at Granville Island August 21 thru 24, 2008 (no sailings).
