Gar­den­ers! Good news! The PLANT SALE is back!

The first week­end in May the Scan­di­na­vian Cen­tre will hold its huge annual Plant Sale Fundraiser — We need your extra plants!

Date: May 1st & 2nd, 2010
Time: 10am — 3pm
Place: Scan­di­na­vian Com­mu­nity Cen­tre, 6540 Thomas St, Burn­aby BC

Most of us will soon be busy divid­ing roots and dis­card­ing run­away plants. We need those extra peren­ni­als, shrubs, trees, or house plants. Pot them up!

Prep­ping Your Plants for the Sale

Keep them watered and in a shel­tered spot and your plants will be estab­lished and ready for their new own­ers. Start toma­toes or other annual veg­eta­bles and flow­ers too. Those have been snapped up quickly and we never have enough.

Label your plants with their pop­u­lar and sci­en­tific names if you know them, and give any other infor­ma­tion that might help a new owner. Colour and grow­ing con­di­tions are use­ful along with height or size.

We could use your exper­tise and your help on our com­mit­tee and for a few hours dur­ing the Sale itself. Con­tact any­one on the Plant Sale Com­mit­tee if you can help. Also, if you need help or advice or have extra pots to offer, or need some, get in touch.

Pick Up Available

We have even been known to pick up your plants, and maybe you can put up a few posters for us in return — the usual group effort. Very Scandinavian.
