Finland’s First 100 Years Pre­sent­ed by Aila Kar­pio.

Date: Wednes­day, Novem­ber 8, 2017 – 6 pm to 9 pm

Join us as we cel­e­brate Finland’s first 100 years, and maybe get some insight into what’s up for the next 100 years. Aila Kar­pio, Hon­orary Vice-Con­sul for Fin­land in Van­cou­ver, has put togeth­er a pre­sen­ta­tion that should be inter­est­ing and insight­ful. Many of us who know Aila, from many years in the Scan­di­na­vian Busi­ness Club of BC, are very much look­ing for­ward to this event.

Aila Kar­pio worked many years in the trav­el and tourism indus­tries, both in her native Fin­land and Cana­da, until she start­ed her own com­pa­ny in 1996 in Van­cou­ver (Spets Asso­ci­a­tion Man­age­ment).

Aila is a nat­ur­al orga­niz­er who can quick­ly stream­line and update a not-for-prof­it association’s oper­a­tions. She is an expert team builder, whether build­ing a board of direc­tors or recruit­ing vol­un­teers for an event. Due to her per­son­al val­ues, Aila is an advo­cate of the triple bot­tom line: peo­ple, plan­et, prof­its.
