The Scandinavian Midsummer Festival, in its 22nd year, attracts thousands of visitors. We are now looking for crafters who can offer us something special and exciting, be it traditional crafts with an innovative twist of something culturally relevant.

We offer you a table at our festival for TWO days for just $105, including all the taxes. The festival will be advertised on JRfm Radio, in the Vancouver Sun and The Province as well as in local newspapers. The fun and crazy wife-carrying contest always draws a lot of attention along with continuous entertainment all weekend.

Date: Thursday October 20, 2016
Time: 6.30pm
Location: Scandinavian Community Centre

On behalf of the Midsummer Committee, may I extend a sincere “Thank You” to all the volunteers, sponsors, vendors and staff for their effort to battle through some “Junuary” weather during the 2016 Midsummer Festival. We look forward to sunnier skies next year.

To those who attended Midsummer, we hope that you and your families enjoyed all the entertainment, music and cultural activities that Midsummer offered. Many of you come to sample the food items that are made available. A big thank you has to go to those who worked so hard in food preparation and service.

We congratulate all the winners who took part in the running events and races. We applaud those who worked to sell raffle tickets and congratulate those whose winning tickets were drawn.

The Midsummer Festival at the Scandinavian Community Centre gives us the opportunity to showcase cultural values, heritage and a collective community spirit. We thank you for making the festival a fun family event.
